This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit davidefissore.com or write to me through the contact form, in line with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). I have kept it plain on purpose: knowing what happens to your data is a right, not a legal exercise.

Who is the data controller
The data controller is Davide Fissore, Strada Crosassa 31, 12042 Bra (CN), Italy, VAT no. IT04063260048. For any question about your data you can write to info@davidefissore.com.
What data I collect
Data you give me
If you fill in the form on the Contact page, I collect your name, email address, the topic you chose, the text of your message and the date you gave consent to the processing. If you email me directly at info@davidefissore.com, I keep your address and the content of the conversation. I do not ask for sensitive data and I invite you not to include any in your message.
Data collected while you browse
When you visit the site, the server automatically records some technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, pages visited, browser and device type, referring page. It is needed to run the site and protect it from abuse.
If you accept measurement cookies, Google Analytics collects aggregated information on how you use the site (pages viewed, visit length, approximate geographic origin, device type). Without your consent this tool is not activated.
To remember your cookie choice, the site also stores a consent preference in your browser.
Why I use it and on what basis
- Answering your requests. I use name, email and message to reply and, if a collaboration begins, to follow up. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps requested by you and, for the consent you tick in the form, Art. 6.1.a GDPR.
- Running and protecting the site. Technical browsing data and the form's anti-spam protections (sending limits, request origin check) rest on my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure, Art. 6.1.f.
- Site usage statistics. Only if you consent to measurement cookies, Art. 6.1.a. You can withdraw at any time from "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.
- Legal obligations. Where a rule requires it, for example keeping tax records, Art. 6.1.c.
I do not sell your data, I do not use it for automated decisions, and I do not send newsletters or promotional messages unless you ask for them.
Who receives it
Data is handled by me and by providers acting as processors or as independent controllers for their part of the service:
- Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland), for site hosting and for the mailbox that receives form messages.
- Google Ireland Limited, for statistical measurement with Google Analytics, only with your consent.
Some data may be shared with professional advisers or authorities, only where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Union
Switzerland, where Infomaniak's servers are located, benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision. For Google, which may also process data in the United States, transfers rely on GDPR safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and measurement tools
Technical cookies, which the site needs to work and to store your choices, do not require consent. Measurement cookies are activated only if you accept them in the banner. The detailed list, with duration and purpose, is in the Cookie Policy. You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
How long I keep it
- Form messages and emails: as long as needed to handle your request and, if no working relationship follows, at most 24 months after the last contact. If a collaboration starts, for its duration and for the legal periods that follow.
- Technical server logs: for the period set by the hosting provider, normally no more than 12 months.
- Google Analytics data: according to the retention setting chosen in the property, no more than 14 months.
- Proof of cookie consent: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also withdraw consent, without affecting processing already carried out. Write to info@davidefissore.com: I reply within one month.
If you believe the processing breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country of residence.
The site respects "Do Not Track" signals to the extent that measurement cookies stay off until you give consent.
Minors
The site and services are aimed at professionals and businesses. I do not knowingly collect data from people under 16. If you think a minor has written to me, let me know and I will delete the data.
Security
The site uses encrypted HTTPS, the form has protections against spam and abuse, and access to the tools that hold messages is protected. No system is one hundred percent secure, but I do what is reasonable to reduce the risks.
Updates to this notice
If tools or purposes change, I update this page and the date at the top. It is worth a look every now and then.
